Today we learn parts of
speech and we focus on the many different parts of speech that help us with
everyday language.
🔸 PARTS OF SPEECH
Parts of Speech: The first part of speech is called a noun. A noun is a person, place, or thing.
This is the pronoun. A pronoun is used to the replace the things. (Examples: I, me, mine; you, yours; he, his, himself; she, her herself; it, its, itself; we, us, our, ourselves)
|
This is an adverb,
basically works on behalf of a verb.
In Grammar, a word or
phrase naming an attribute, added to, or grammatically related to a noun to
modify or describe it in the sentence.
(Examples: silly, fun, enormous, many, few, million).
Prepositions are words
usually preceding a noun or pronoun and expressing a relation to another
word…example “the man on the platform”.
Basically, conjunctions
have two ideas or two parts of the sentence. (Examples: “I tried to hit the nail
but hit my thumb instead.”
Interjections express the
felling or emotion, an exclamation, especially as part of speech. Example: “e.g., ah! dear me!”
And last, but not least,
is Article.
“Article” has the three parts: A, An, and The.
'A' is used with the conjunction.
'An' is used with the
vowels.
'The' is used with the
specific things.
