Today we learn parts of speech and we focus on the many different parts of speech that help us with everyday language.

Parts of Speech:  The first part of speech is called a noun.  A noun is a person, place, or thing.

This is the pronoun.  A pronoun is used to the replace the things. (Examples: I, me, mine; you, yours; he, his, himself; she, her herself; it, its, itself; we, us, our, ourselves)

2nd part of speech…are Verbs

A verb is a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence.

This is an adverb, basically works on behalf of a verb.

Parts of speech

In Grammar, a word or phrase naming an attribute, added to, or grammatically related to a noun to modify or describe it in the sentence.  (Examples: silly, fun, enormous, many, few, million).

Prepositions are words usually preceding a noun or pronoun and expressing a relation to another word…example “the man on the platform”.

Basically, conjunctions have two ideas or two parts of the sentence. (Examples: “I tried to hit the nail but hit my thumb instead.”

Interjections express the felling or emotion, an exclamation, especially as part of speech.  Example: “e.g., ah! dear me!”

And last, but not least, is Article.
“Article” has the three parts: A, An, and The.

'A' is used with the conjunction.

'An' is used with the vowels.

'The' is used with the specific things.

So, today’s topic of my blog (parts of speech) is now over.  I hope you were able to learn and understand more about the “parts of speech” in the English language.
